The Caterpillars are growing!

Look!
Our caterpillars are getting bigger and bigger!
They crawl all over the swan plant to look for food.
They even crawl upside down!
We hope they find enough juicy leaves to eat!

We water our plants every day. The caterpillars will eat the leaves and get very very fat!

The children in Room 1 planted swan plants when they started on the first week of Term 1.

The plants are this big now.

This caterpillar is quite big. When it is bigger it will turn into a chrysalis. A monarch butterfly will hatch out of the chrysalis later.

Safe Walking

video
Room 1 have been learning how to be safe around the roads with Constable Chris.
We have learnt how to cross the road safely remembering to look both ways listening and looking for cars. When it is clear  we walk quickly across in a straight line not forgetting to look as we walk.
We have also learnt how to cross between parked cars and how to get our ball if it goes on the road.
We now know how to walk in a car park which is very important when we are at the supermarket with Mum or Dad. Remember to look for the white lights.
Last Friday we all went out to the road to do our pedestrian licence. We all did very well passing most of the skills.
Well done Room 1 and thank you Constable Chris.

Nibbles from India

Today Room 1 got a special surprise from Prabhjot. We opened the container to find these delicious Indian nibbles.

We all tasted them and Maggie thought they were spicy. Blair thought they were nice and Estelle thought she could taste garlic in them. Hannah thought they were garlicky and a little salty. Mrs Bryant thought they were delicious and would like to know how to make them!

We all felt very special being able to taste food from India. Thank you, Prabhjot!

Does anyone know what they are called and how they are made?
